Wednesday’s earnings calendar puts several of the market’s largest companies in the spotlight at once, and options markets are bracing for sizable moves, according to Benzinga Pro data published ahead of the reports. Meta Platforms and Tesla alone represent roughly $195 billion of implied market-value movement between them, based on their market capitalizations and implied moves.

Meta Platforms reports third-quarter results after the close. Consensus calls for earnings of $5.89 per share on revenue of $63.36 billion, compared with $7.25 per share on $51.24 billion a year ago. Options imply a 5.90% move on a market value of about $1.78 trillion, or roughly $105 billion. Shares are up 8.5% this year.

Tesla also reports after the bell, with analysts modeling earnings of 43 cents per share on $27.88 billion of revenue versus 50 cents on $28.09 billion a year earlier. The options-implied move is 6.24%, or about $90.7 billion on a $1.45 trillion market value. Tesla shares are down 16% this year, and Wednesday’s report follows news that SpaceX and Tesla formed special committees to evaluate a merger, which lifted Tesla more than 2% in premarket trading.

Semiconductor names add to the tension. Lam Research reports fiscal first-quarter 2027 results after the close, with consensus at $2.17 per share on $8.14 billion in revenue, up from $1.26 on $5.32 billion a year earlier. Its 7.42% implied move is the largest on Benzinga’s list, representing about $25.1 billion of its $338 billion market value. Texas Instruments is expected to earn $2.42 per share on $5.92 billion in revenue, with a 6.58% implied move; the stock is up 55.6% this year.

IBM is expected to report earnings of $2.87 per share on $16.82 billion in revenue, with options implying a 6.43% move. The stock is down 18.9% this year.

Before the open, AT&T is expected to report 60 cents per share on $31.69 billion in revenue, with a 4.10% implied move. Thermo Fisher Scientific is expected to earn $6.40 per share on $11.95 billion in revenue, with a 5.85% implied move, and Danaher is expected to earn $1.91 per share on $6.56 billion, with a 6.38% implied move.

The macro backdrop raises the stakes. Brent crude near $110 and a 10-year Treasury yield around 5.1% have pressured valuations on AI-linked and growth stocks, as noted in market commentary this week, and the Nasdaq Composite was flat on Tuesday while the Dow gained 1%. Results from Meta Platforms, Lam Research and Texas Instruments will offer fresh read-throughs on artificial intelligence spending and the industrial and semiconductor cycle.

For traders, the main risk is gap behavior: implied moves are only estimates, and actual reactions can exceed them. Position sizing, defined-risk options structures and awareness of after-hours liquidity are common ways to manage binary events. Investors holding positions through the reports should be prepared for volatility at Thursday’s open.
