How To Read A Daily Trading Plan

The plan is a checklist for the session, not a signal to trade. Here is what each part tells you.

Market Backdrop

VIX shows how nervous the market is, and SPY and QQQ show where the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 are trading. The overall bias summarizes what that means for the day.

Market Mode

The style of trading the conditions seem to favor, such as day trading, swing trading or cash and wait, with a confidence level. Cash and wait is a valid answer.

Setups

The few stocks that cleared the conviction threshold, marked long or short. On some days there are none, and the plan says so.

Entry, Stop And Targets

For logged-in users: the price zone where the setup is valid, the level where the idea is wrong, and the first and second profit targets, with the risk-to-reward ratio.

Risk Notes And Events

Reminders for the day, such as data releases that can move the market, and when to stand aside.

What It Is Not

A model-generated plan for education. Levels are not guarantees, and nothing here is personal investment advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the daily day trading plan?

A short, AI-drafted playbook published before 10 AM ET on market days. It sets out the market backdrop (VIX, SPY, QQQ, overall bias) and a few stocks to watch, each with an entry zone, a stop, targets and the reasoning behind it.

Do I need an account to see the full plan?

The market backdrop and the list of stocks on today's plan are public. Entry zones, stops, targets, the price-level chart, risk notes and key events are free for logged-in users, and creating an account costs nothing.

Is this financial advice?

No. The plan is a model output for educational purposes. Entry levels, stops and targets are not guarantees, and trading can lose money. Do your own research and size positions to what you can afford to lose.

What do the entry zone, stop and targets mean?

The entry zone is the price range where the setup is considered valid, the stop is the level where the idea is wrong and the trade would be exited, and T1 and T2 are the first and second profit targets. The R/R ratio compares the potential reward with the risk to the stop.

What does "no trades today" mean?

On some days no candidate clears the conviction threshold. The plan then says so, because sitting out is a valid decision and protects capital for a cleaner setup.

What is the VIX and why does the plan show it?

The VIX measures expected volatility in the S&P 500. Low readings suggest calm conditions, while high readings suggest fear and bigger swings, which usually calls for smaller positions.

Why does the page say "last plan shown"?

On weekends and market holidays no new plan is produced, so the most recent one stays visible and is marked as such.
